With its rooftop garden and courtyard, luxury residences and prime location in Hell’s Kitchen, Gotham West tick all the boxes. What really sets the four-building complex apart from other amenities-packed developments, aside from its proximity to Hudson River Park and the neighborhood’s culinary favorites, is its affordable accommodation. When it opened in 2013, Gotham West was the largest affordable project completed by a private developer at the time, with around 55% of units restricted by income. Today, applications are being accepted for its no-cost rentals, ranging from studios to three-bedroom, which are aimed at middle-income New Yorkers earning up to 135% and 165% of the area’s median income (AMI).

Developed by the Gotham Organization, Gotham West consists of four buildings with a total of over 1,200 apartments. Units, which range from studios to three-bedroom, feature custom finishes and fixtures, wide-plank oak floors, full-size stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances, granite counters, oversized windows with city views and the Hudson River, and individual heating and cooling units.

According to the developer, households earning less than 135% of MAI could be eligible for a two-bedroom unit priced at around $ 2,670 / month and $ 3,170 / month for households earning less than 165% of MAI. ‘FRIEND.
