Enjoy all the perks of waterfront living with a weekend at this stylish loft along the Hillsborough River. Your stay includes the entire upper level of a charming bungalow (the lower level is also available to rent), complete with your own private deck facing the water. Speaking of water, head to the river in the free kayaks and canoes available to guests. Or head to nearby ZooTampa for an animal encounter.
Thinking of testing life on the road? Hosts Micah & Jana provide a unique nighttime experience in their vintage 1971 Empress Airstream. For on-property recreation, relax in the hammock under a towering oak tree, play in the saltwater pool and hot tub, or roast s’mores around the fire pit. The outdoor space is shared with a small house and a loft, just FYI. It is also important to note that the private bathroom is not located in the Airstream, but in a separate area just 20 feet away. The Airstream is conveniently located just across the bridge from Anna Maria Island giving you easy access to the beach by car.
History buffs will love the backstory behind this amazing property. Stark Farms offers a handful of unique accommodations, including a new Tiny House and multiple rooms in the Mansion, a sprawling 7,000 square foot home. But the real highlight is The Barn, a Revolutionary War-era barn that was tagged, dismantled, and moved from New Hampshire, then rebuilt on site. Inside, you’ll find countless period antiques, original barn wood used throughout the decor, and fascinating historical details about the property. The Upper Tampa Bay Trail passes the property and the Brooker Creek Preserve is less than 20 minutes’ drive away.
The common area on the ground floor is shared by all guests and the one upstairs houses five bedrooms. Each room is named after a member of the Stark family, who built the barn in the late 1700s. Opt for the John Stark or Archibald Stark room if you want more space and a private bathroom.
If you’ve always wanted a taste of farm life, here’s your chance. This tiny house is located on a 4-acre working city farm, which is also a 501c3 educational nonprofit. Sweetwater Organic Farm has four market fields for vegetables, fruit trees, herb gardens and a native walking trail. The private little cabin features a loft, two porches and great views. An outdoor shower is connected to the small cabin with hot and cold water available. There is a public bath with two toilet stalls and a small kitchenette (hence the name, “rustic”.). Guests are invited to walk around the farm and learn about the animals and nature. They also organize volunteer days at the farm on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from 9 am to 12 pm.
If you’re curious about living in a tiny house but aren’t a fan of loft beds and super-tiny spaces, this is the Airbnb for you. Host Stephanie and her husband built their first tiny house in 2015 (located next door and also available on Airbnb) before embarking on the construction of this slightly more spacious tiny house in 2017. Full bedroom located upstairs. The convenient location provides walking access to the main hustle and bustle of historic Ybor. Ask for Stephanie’s list of local recommendations if you’re looking for the best local places to visit during your stay. Dedicated street parking is available.
Want the feeling of “camping” (although let’s be honest, more like “glamping”)? This charming and comfortable motorhome has been recently updated and renovated. Located in the heart of Tampa, it has the feel of a luxury RV mixed with a studio. Guests will have access to all outdoor areas and full use of the grill. Conveniently located minutes from downtown Tampa and 11 minutes from Busch Gardens and Adventure Island.
Test life on the boat with an overnight stay on a yacht! Hosts Sheryl & Rich offer this unique stay aboard their 84′ yacht, which is moored in a quiet marina near Treasure Island. No, the boat will not leave the dock during your stay, but you can charter a private cruise (additional cost) on Lady Pearl’s sister ship, Miss Molly. Opt for the private sunset cruise for the ultimate romance! And, of course, you can enjoy boating perks like enjoying a sunset from the top deck and falling asleep to the gentle lapping of the waves. There are also two kayaks and a paddle board available for free use. There are multiple bedrooms, making this Airbnb ideal for families or two couples. Venture to Treasure Island for more fun in the sun, or head to downtown St. Pete to explore.
