Bike rentals now available at Freedom Park
JAMES CITY COUNTY – Residents can now rent bikes for the various multi-use and mountain bike trails in Historic Freedom Park.
Bike rentals are now available at Freedom Park, located at 5537 Centerville Rd., on weekends.
According to James City County Parks and Recreation, residents can rent a bike and explore Freedom Park, which includes nearly 20 miles of dedicated mountain bike trails and more than two miles of multi-use trails.
Trails also include a one-mile paved trail that is Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant.
Bikes are now available for hire by the hour between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Persons aged 17 and under must have an adult or guardian aged 18 or over to sign on their behalf. Riders age 14 and under must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian age 18 or older while riding.
Rental bikes are adult sized and are available on a first come, first served basis. All riders must wear a helmet, which is included in the rental fee.
Hourly rates are $8 for residents and $10 for non-residents.
Freedom Park is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to sunset.
