Memorial Union Rentals and Activities Begin After 2020 Break | Archive


MADISON (WKOW) – Outdoor UW, the Union of Wisconsin’s outlet for the outdoors, is back to offer summer rentals and paddling after a hiatus last summer due to COVID- 19.

According to a press release from the Wisconsin Union, Memorial Union Helpdesk will offer tandem kayaks, single kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and paddleboards for eight people this summer.

The service will also organize event evenings and private outdoor group experiences.

The team recommends making reservations in advance, but can accept reservations made on-site at the Outdoor UW service counter on the lower level of Memorial Union, as capacity permits.

But if paddleboarding isn’t for you, they run in-person yoga in partnership with University Recreation & Wellbeing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
